After a full spring and summer of hard fishing, maintenance on your propeller is as important as your motor and trailer. General wear from sand and saltwater can remove metal quicker than you think; keeping it in shape saves fuel and improves boat performance.

If you have noticed a change in RPM's, decrease in speed, or if the boat seems sluggish getting on plane, a repair is needed. Check the tips of the blades for thinning. Does the cup still run to the edge? The leading edges should be smooth and free of nicks.
