Shrimp & Crab Appetizer Cups
Flaky, cheesy seafood-filled bites that make the perfect appetizer for parties or brunch!
Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry
2 Tbsp butter
1/2 lb shrimp, peeled & chopped (optional: reserve a few whole shrimp for topping)
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 cup lump crab meat (drained)
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated parmesan
1/4 tsp Old Bay seasoning (or Cajun seasoning)
1 tbsp chopped parsley (plus extra for garnish)
1 egg (for egg wash)
Salt & black pepper to taste
Preheat your oven to 375°F.
Roll out the puff pastry to 16” x 12”. Use a 3” round object such as a cup or glass to cut out circles from the dough. Press each dough circle into a lightly greased mini muffin tin.
In a medium pan, melt the butter. Add the chopped shrimp and minced garlic and sauté for one minute. Remove from heat and add to a medium bowl. Add softened cream cheese, crab meat, mozzarella, parmesan, parsley, Old Bay, salt, and pepper.
Spoon or use a scoop to fill each cup with the mixture. Brush exposed dough with egg wash for a perfect golden-brown crust.
Bake for 15–18 minutes or until the cups are puffed and deep golden brown.
Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve warm.
